It was nice out
So I went out with the kids to play, even though I had cleaning to do inside.
Nicole enjoyed laying on her tummy in the dirt with her arms reached out as if to make upside-down dirt angels, she also tasted the dirt.
Isaac thought this birdbath was designed for his water bottle. He remarked on how nice it was of them to put it there for his water bottle:
Charlotte likes to have her hands in the dirt. She loves the mud and sticks and rocks. The red Tennessee mud still makes me think of my summer vacations in Knoxville as a child.
Ila laid on a blanket. When I first laid her down, she squinted because the sun was so bright, eventually her eyes adjusted and she opened them again.
I think this picture of Nicole with sidewalk chalk is cute, but I’m not entirely sure why I like it so.
Charlotte came up with the idea to write on the birdbath. The rest of the kids thought it was a good idea, except maybe Ila. Ila was ready to be held again.
