Mother’s Day Artwork
I am lucky to have (and have had) amazing mothers and grandmothers in my life.
What says mother’s day more than children’s artwork?
Isaac brought these home from school: (I love that it’s raining on our house—I guess we’ve been in Seattle for a little while now). Here’s the inside:
He also brought how this piece of artwork that is too big to fit on my scanner:The following pages were stapled to the back. There are four boxes and four corresponding sentences to go with the boxes.I was not on top of things enough to have the kids make cards for my mothers (their grandmothers), but we will be stopping by to see their great-grandmother on mother’s day so I had the older 3 make cards to give her.
From Isaac: (He wanted to draw her a map. He started by making a rectangle and then writing they map key. The colored circles are “for decoration.â€
From Charlotte: I love the varying degrees of detail on the people and the drawings of the cats on the inside. 10 points to whomever can tell which cat is which (points are meaningless and Zach cannot participate). Nicole yelled that I must “Draw Great-Grandma, mom!†I hesitated because I wanted this to be just her artwork (and I’m a terrible artist), but she was very insistent—obviously she won.
