Newcastle Beach Park
These pictures are from August 17th when we went to Newcastle Beach Park with my cousin, Lindsay , my friend Mandy , and my friend Megan and all of their kids.
Here’s what the park looks like:
Here’s an areal of the park (thanks to Google Maps) for perspective. You can see the small park area and the large beach and even larger grassy area.:This is how Isaac spends all his time when we go to a beach (he likes to build a series of canals in the sand):The kid’s all tried Thomas’s floating thing and then I forgot it at the beach when we left:I take it back, they didn’t all try it–Ila didn’t try it. I sat Thomas in it on the sand and fed him lunch:Nicole spends most of every beach trip “borrowing†beach toys from strangers. She just picks up whatever she wants to play with. I try to watch her just in case a kid wants to reclaim his or her toy. It can be quite amusing to see the variety of things she plays with over the course of an outing:Here are most of my kids doing a little borrowing:Thomas napped:Ila is always excited when Thomas wakes up. I love the look on his face as she sings and talks to him:Picnic in the train with 2nd cousins:Nap #2 (we spent most of the day there):We had to reapply a healthy dose of sunblock. They were predicting that it would be the hottest day of the year that day. I don’t know if it actually was, it didn’t seem so hot at the beach.
