These pictures are from August 17th when we went to Newcastle Beach Park with my cousin, Lindsay , my friend Mandy , and my friend Megan and all of their kids.

Here’s an areal of the park (thanks to Google Maps) for perspective.  You can see the small park area and the large beach and even larger grassy area.:Fullscreen capture 9102012 90938 PMThis is how Isaac spends all his time when we go to a beach (he likes to build a series of canals in the sand):8.17.12 Newcastle Beach Park (20)The kid’s all tried Thomas’s floating thing and then I forgot it at the beach when we left:8.17.12 Newcastle Beach Park (11)8.17.12 Newcastle Beach Park (8)8.17.12 Newcastle Beach Park (14)I take it back, they didn’t all try it–Ila didn’t try it.  I sat Thomas in it on the sand and fed him lunch:8.17.12 Newcastle Beach Park (37)Nicole spends most of every beach trip “borrowing” beach toys from strangers.  She just picks up whatever she wants to play with.  I try to watch her just in case a kid wants to reclaim his or her toy.  It can be quite amusing to see the variety of things she plays with over the course of an outing:8.17.12 Newcastle Beach Park (21)8.17.12 Newcastle Beach Park (39)Here are most of my kids doing a little borrowing:8.17.12 Newcastle Beach Park (28)8.17.12 Newcastle Beach Park (30)Thomas napped:8.17.12 Newcastle Beach Park (31)Ila is always excited when Thomas wakes up.  I love the look on his face as she sings and talks to him:8.17.12 Newcastle Beach Park (47)Picnic in the train with 2nd cousins:8.17.12 Newcastle Beach Park (57)Nap #2 (we spent most of the day there):8.17.12 Newcastle Beach Park (60)We had to reapply a healthy dose of sunblock. 8.17.12 Newcastle Beach Park (62) They were predicting that it would be the hottest day of the year that day.  I don’t know if it actually was, it didn’t seem so hot at the beach.8.17.12 Newcastle Beach Park (65)
