Ila is Three
I’ve been so sleep deprived the last few weeks, that I haven’t had the energy to write. I was up much of the night with Thomas for several nights before Ila’s birthday so I was very tired on her big day.
My first picture is from the night before. My girls all love to help me bake things so I invited Ila to help me make her birthday cupcakes. In this pictures she was amused that she had some sugar on her feet:
We made orange soda cupcakes with orange frosting and candy oranges on top.I made mini cupcakes too because Ila loves finding big and small things that she can refer to as “mommies and babies.†I also bought orange gummy bears to go with them. Isaac helped me decorate the night before with orange streamers, but they started falling down while we slept. Muffins are one of Ila’s favorite foods, so I had her help me make some poppy seed muffins for breakfast:While we waited for the muffins to bake, she opened two presents. An orange Trunki with an orange moose inside:And an orange outfit:Breakfast is ready:The girls all had baths and had their nails painted orange and then took turns riding Ila’s new Trunki:Then Ila opened more ridiculously orange presents, like this one:We took her to lunch at a McDonalds with a play place:Then back home to open the rest of her orange presents:When she opened this present from her Grandma Bunny, Nicole became very jealous and exclaimed repeatedly “it’s turning into Nicole’s toohbrushâ€:Great Grandma, Aunt Margaret, and my cousin Lindsay and her family (husband: Aaron and children: Seth and Ada) came around 2:00:We held a Google Hangout for the birthday song with the Orem Cochrans:And we decked out her bed in all her new orange things:I try to write a post about my children near their birthdays, I will write about Ila soon.
I can’t believe Ila is three! I absolutely love all the orange. . I can’t believe how many cute things you found!
