Rain Gutter Regatta

I didn’t know what a Rain Gutter Regatta was, until Tuesday.  Apparently it’s a scouting event where you make your own boats and sail them down rain gutters.  I didn’t get many pictures because Zach and I were taking turns taking care of Ila (who fell asleep on the way to the church) and Thomas while helping our older three kids modify their boats.  11.27.12 Pack meeting

Charlotte designed something a little different than most by primarily using paper.  Nicole created something completely random starting with a yellow pipe cleaner then a pair of eyes.11.27.12 Pack meeting (2)Nicole was proud of her design:11.27.12 Pack meeting (4)Until she saw someone with a sail, then she had to have a sail as well:11.27.12 Pack meeting (7)It was funny, each time I saw Nicole she had added another random item to her boat—I didn’t get a picture of the finished product, but it was amazingly random.
