Our Family is a Teenager
Zach and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary on January 7th. Last year we started a tradition of celebrating the day our family officially began as our family’s birthday with a piñata. The kids were amused this year that our family is old enough
The little girls helped me make mini heart shaped cherry chocolate pies.
Charlotte came home from school and joined in the fun:Here are the pies all finished. Ila refused to try them, so she ate some chocolate chips instead:The last several times we were at the store together, Zach looked for some of his favorite chips, but was unable to find them, so when I found them on sale at the grocery store on our anniversary, I bought him a bunch. When the cashier saw all the bags, she asked me if they were good and I told her that they were my husband’s favorite and it was our anniversary. Then we both laughed at my “romantic gesture.” See, I even displayed them in the shape of a heart (I’m so romantic that way):Here’s my other romantic gesture. It’s my husband’s favorite dip (roasted red pepper):The girls helped me fill the piñata a few days early:It’s tradition in our house to whack the piñata with light sabers:When whacking wasn’t enough, Zach tore it open:
What a cute tradition! You have the cutest family!!! Miss you guys!!!
