Soccer
This year we signed Isaac and Charlotte up for soccer through Orem Youth Soccer. We signed them up shortly after we moved, but we were late sign-ups so they ended up playing on teams with kids from other elementary schools.
Isaac’s soccer team choose the name “The Mean Green Machines.”
Charlotte’s team changed their name from “Maroon Girls” to “Maroon Stars”:
(I had to stay home with some of the younger kids on Charlotte’s picture day and her envelope didn’t get turned in, so we had to take an unofficial picture of her team)
Isaac’s favorite position to play is goalie (signified by his backwards shirt):
One time the coach couldn’t make it to the game and Zach and his dad stepped up to be the coaches:
Charlotte loves to run and pushes herself to run even when she’s worn out. When all the other little girls on her team are begging to be subbed out to rest, Charlotte wants to keep playing:
Each time her team scored, Charlotte throws her arms in the air and cheers then points her nose in the air and tries to wink:
Snacks were given at half time and at the end of the game. If you asked Charlotte how to play soccer, I think she’d include snacks as an essential element..
