The last week of March in which it was almost hot and then too cold
I’ve narrowed it down to 44 pictures for the week. Sometimes it actually surprises me how many pictures I take in a regular week. This week I took 214 which is about 30 pictures a day. I just find too much beauty in every day life.
I love Ila’s eyes in this picture:
Another new hairstyle for Charlotte:
I love that it’s been nice enough for the kids to play on the swing set again. We actually inherited the swing set from a set of tenants who left it behind at our other house. We want to buy a nicer set eventually, but for now the kids love it.
Somehow I like this picture because of Ila’s grumpy face. Sometimes she tries to show me she’s mad and I just think she looks cute when she grits her teeth and scowls:
The water fun started with watering the flowers and strawberries:
Here are the kids at the playground next to Charlotte’s soccer practice.
I actually felt a little hot for the first time this season at soccer practice and Charlotte finished practice with rosy red cheeks. It inspired the kids to put on their swimsuits and play in the water.
I was experimenting with some different camera settings for this picture and I don’t like the way it turned out, but I managed to capture some great height on Charlotte’s jump so I still thought it was worth sharing:
This picture tells a story. Charlotte is yelling because Nicole dumped her bucket of water. You can see in the picture how all of the energy of Charlotte’s body is focused on that scream:
Charlotte has a great smile in this picture:
I love Isaac’s smile in this picture:
Isaac ran the hose through a pool noodle which had holes in it. Water would shoot up through the holes. Thomas found a little fountain of water and stepped on it and laughed and laughed. He loved it so much that he did it over and over.
Charlotte created this extra long marker for Thomas. He looked so funny using it that I had to take a picture. I also love the look on his face in this picture:
Ila made a little clubhouse under a table in the playroom. She was very pleased with it and filled it up with toys and dolls:
Charlotte’s Thursday game was surprisingly cold. I wish I would have had her wear a long sleeved shirt under her soccer jersey.
Here is Ila at the game trying to stay warm under a borrowed blanket. She also had her warm coat on underneath:
Charlotte trying to play with her arms inside her jersey.
Isaac had to miss his game because he had a school program. The 4th grade has been learning about Utah history and they had a “wax museum.” They preformed a song and several dances and then stood along the hallway to answer questions about their famous Utahan. Isaac choose Philo T. Farnsworth:
I tried a wrap around french braid for Charlotte’s hair:
Isaac’s Saturday game. At game time they only had 4 players. The other team had probably 12 players so they played 8 on the field and had 4 subs. As the game started, Isaac’s team had two more players show up. Isaac’s team had to play with less players on the field and no subs. For the second half of the game, some players from the other team played with Isaac’s team to make the game a little more fair:
Thomas really enjoyed using a wood chip to pick up dirt and put it on a rock.
Charlotte missed her soccer game to go to a party for her best friend April. She came home with Frozen themed face paint:
Thomas poured his own cereal while I was helping some of the other kids get ready:
