Ila and Nicole started taking a dance class on Mondays:
Isaac got his medal for the knowledge bowl. He was so excited about it that he wore it to scouts and then took it to bed with him. The next day he tried to take it back to school, but his Dad told him he had to leave it home.
Thomas likes to try on my glasses. Ironically, he also hates when I take them off. He’ll say “oh, no! Glasses!” until I put them back on.
Zach borrowed his dad’s tiller to prep the garden:
We’ve got a lot of space to fill, but we started out with some raspberries and vegetables.
Nicole lost her first tooth. It was a total surprise to me. My other kids wiggled their teeth and talked about it for days before losing a tooth. On Thursday, I went to answer a knock at the door and as I walked towards the door, Nicole said “I lost a tooth” and held out her hand to show me the tooth. By the time I was done talking to the person at the door, she had already placed the tooth under her pillow. We had to go get it so I could put it in a bag and take a picture of her with it. Unfortunately, all the pictures that show where her tooth used to be are blurry, so you’ll have to wait until next week to see a picture of her with a hole in her mouth.
My sister, Barbara was in town for a conference and was able to spend a few hours with us on Thursday. The girls had a blast fixing pony hair.
Then she joined us for Thursday Soccer games:
Thomas spontaneously helped me unload the dishwasher. He actually did a good job!
Saturday it rained all day. Charlotte played soccer in the pouring rain, but it was so miserable and wet that they ended the game early. It was a cold rain and by the time we all gathered in the car, we decided to just go home rather than wait an hour in the rain to see if Isaac’s game would also be cancelled or shortened.
Thomas was so happy riding home from church on his Dad’s shoulders today:
