House Project: Master Bathroom
Since Zach went to Seattle this week, it was a good time to do a few projects in our master bathroom. It’s much easier for me to live with the bathroom being torn up and mostly unusable for a few days than for both of us to do so.
First, I refinished the cabinet under the sink using the leftovers from when I refinished our other bathroom. BEFORE:
AFTER:I also painted the walls and ceiling. I started the painting while the cabinet was still drying. I don’t know if you can tell from the photos, but the walls were a pale toothpaste green. First I painted white first and then painted two walls “Smokey Charcoal.” It seems a little dull to reuse the same colors in so many rooms, but Zach convinced me that it was more practical because I can use the same can of paint to touch up multiple rooms later.
BEFORE:(you might not be able to tell, but I also replaced the hardware on the laundry shoot door) AFTER:I love the contrast between the white and grey. I put a strip of tape around the window so I could have a white stripe around the window.
BEFORE:AFTER:(I thought replacing the off-white electrical socket was beyond my skill level, luckily once I plugged things back in you couldn’t even see the off-white part. I also took this picture before re-installing the towel ring.)
Looks FANTASTIC!!!
