I love Nicole’s happy face in this one. She loves to swing.
Times have changed since I was a kid. Here are my youngest two with tablets:
Thomas likes brushing hair, but he’s not very gentle:
Ila is always saying: “Mom, take a picture of me” and then I take her picture. But I can’t take just one :) And that is how I end up taking thousands of pictures.
Isaac and Charlotte had their last soccer game on Thursday, May 1st.
They had a “rendezvous” for all the 4th grade classes at Isaac’s school. Isaac forgot to mention that he needed to make 3-5 homemade items to trade at school until late on the night before. We scrambled in the thirty minutes before the bus came the next day and he came up with three acceptable offerings:
The Rendezvous was an all day event. They churned butter, dipped candles, made leather key chains, wrote with quills and ink pens, ate stew for lunch, and had a trading post. The kids dressed up like Indians, pioneers or mountain men. Ragged jeans and a plaid shirt was our best effort:
Thomas loves to climb on his siblings, even little Ila:
Here’s another “take a picture of me, mom”:I gave Thomas some Cheetos to eat while I mowed the lawn. When I was finished, he was sound asleep on the hard concrete steps.
The kids thought it was great to pour water onto a bit of concrete and fill up their water toys on the concrete.
Our next-door neighbors got a trampoline. Luckily we’re good friends with them.
Since Isaac wasn’t able to preform at the previously scheduled piano recital, he participated in a recital at his piano teacher’s house.
We had root beer floats as post recital refreshments:
Zach and his dad started building me new shelves in our storage room:
More pictures of Ila. I feel like I’m over-sharing Ila pictures this week, but they’re just too cute not to share.
