Weekly Picture Share (May 5-11)
Sometimes I amaze myself by how I continue to have enough pictures to share each week.
On Monday, I watched some of Ila’s favorite friends.
It was picture day at dance class on Monday, so the girls had big blue bows on:
Nicole’s birthday pictures were in my last post, but here’s a few of the other girls on her birthday:
Ila drew a creepy Joker face on her Minion:
On Wednesday, the kids had fun with Nicole’s new bubble machine:
Ila and Thomas can’t resist a good puddle:
Thomas tried to brush Ila’s hair:
Thomas still loves his blanket, especially when it’s still warm for the dryer. He actually saw it in the washer and pulled it out, I had to sneak it in when he wasn’t looking.
We planted another fruit tree. This one was grafted with branches from other trees so if all goes well, it should produce peaches, apricots, and plums.
I guess it comes from living at the foot of the mountains, but we have really rocky soil (check out the pile of rocks that came from our tree hole). Apparently the to rocky soil is good for fruit trees because it helps regulate the amount of water.
Thomas was happy to help with the gardening:
When Thomas’s help was too much for the garden, I set him to the task of watering trees:
He carefully carried water across the yard to water the big shade tree:
Nicole even helped out, but she didn’t want to get her hands dirty:
This is Thomas pouting because he’s not allowed to dig in the garden anymore:
This photo seems a little underwhelming, but it makes me happy to see how nice the yard looks. The grass is green and mostly weed free (the last ones are still dying) and we’ve been planting flowers. That first rose was suppose to be purple and I’m still a little mad that it came up red.
Nicole was a little paranoid on Saturday. She kept complaining about invisible monsters that she referred to as “canyons.” She calmed down somewhat after she found this Nerf gun. She pretended she was shooting “beautiful” at the “canyons.”
This picture looks a little distorted, but you can see her missing tooth:
Isaac has been working on his Pinewood Derby car.
I had Zach take a picture of me with the kids on Mother’s day. I take thousands of pictures, but very few pictures have me in them, so I thought I should make sure to have a few taken.
I told Zach that one of my favorite things was playing games with family, so he arranged to have his family play Nerts with me. He also made us all a nice dinner and did the dishes.
The lighting is all wrong in this picture, but by the time I moved to a better location in terms of light, I couldn’t get a good picture of the scene. The kids were all trying to scratch their Dad’s back.
This is what happened while I was on the phone with my mother. Apparently my girls think that bread broken up into little pieces makes a great snack!
