June 2nd-8th (the week I hardly took any pictures)
It was bound to happen sooner or later. I only took about 60 pictures this week, probably because I came down with a cold and didn’t have the energy to do as much this week. Now that I’m on the mend, I should be back up to several hundred pictures next week.
I started summer school lessons with Nicole on Monday. They didn’t go as well as I thought they would. I’m hoping the lessons will go smoother once she’s used to the pattern. We did one lesson every day and two lessons a few of the days. The plan is to do two per day, but between my cold and Nicole arguing with me about how to do parts of the lesson, I just didn’t have it in me to do more than one a few of the days.
I can’t help but take pictures when I see three of my children snuggled together.
On Monday night I had the kids make Crescent roll s’mores. They really enjoyed the process. It was hard to wait for them to bake. There was a little too much pushing and shoving. On Tuesday we went on an outing. I wanted to get each of the kids a new pair of Crocs for summer, only the outlet store I remembered wasn’t there anymore so I ended up buying the shoes online. After walking around the outlet mall, we explored Cabelas and then had lunch at IKEA. On the way home we stopped in at the Family Fun Center for an hour. I took a few cell phone photos of the kids driving boats: On Wednesday I started filling up the storage room shelves with toys. My toy rotation system wasn’t working out since the kids could access all the toys where I had been storing them in the guest room closet. Isaac and his friend, Evan started removing nails from some of the boards we took out of the storage room. They spent hours doing it. They’re hoping to build a track for pinewood derby cars.Meanwhile, the little kids had fun playing together in the house:I got out my camera because as Ila was filling up her skirt with blocks, Thomas was filling up his shorts, only by the time I wen to take his picture, he stood up and all the blocks fell out. It’s masculine to carry a pink purse if it’s full of trucks and buses: The orange roses we planted for Ila have been blooming this week. Ila loves them. She admires them from the front window and likes to go out and see them regularly. Isaac loves pushing kids with his scooter:Ila and Thomas taking a break in the shade of the garage on a hot day:
Lol that is way more pics than I took this week and I have a new baby and mom visiting!
