Some October pictures
Football is just a fun game to watch. Isaac’s team played in the rain a few weeks ago. It was raining for the entire game and by the end, he was wet and dirty and cold, but it was a win for his team. Thomas watched with me:
Ila and Thomas had their first dentist appointments so I had to take my camera.
Ila was a trooper for X-rays. Thomas wouldn’t let them take X-rays. I did feel a little weird about taking pictures at the dentist’s office, but I never regret having the pictures. I couldn’t take as many pictures of Thomas because he needed me to hold his hands and help him be calm.
Charlotte’s soccer games are over until spring. We were early to her last game so I took the time to take pictures while we played together. She has been doing this a lot lately: Isaac participated in the 5th grade science fair. Zach helped make an interactive display for Isaac’s poster. Isaac looks bored in this pic, but that’s probably because it was late. Zach had to leave on a business trip the next day so we had to finish up way after bedtime.
Charlotte and Ila helped get started on painting their room. We are going to fix up their bedroom for their birthdays in December.
We have loved eating apples from our neighbor’s yard. Here are Ila and Thomas with some of their best friends. Check out Nicole’s mismatched socks and shoes:
I can’t get over how much these little boys love being together.
One thing I seem to never take pictures of is my kids playing piano. Isaac and Charlotte are both taking lessons and they’re both improving so much.
We love our neighbors. Each of my kids has a best friend next door (except maybe Nicole who doesn’t really understand friendships #autism). We created an opening between the fences and the kids set up tents on either side so they could pretend it was a magic portal.
I went on a field trip with Isaac’s class into the canyon to study geology. It’s still amazing to me that their school is so close to the canyon that they can just walk into the mountains. I can’t imagine ever getting board with the scenery here in Utah.
Since creating that opening in the fence, my kids have practically lived on the neighbor’s trampoline for days and days. My short little Ila has to climb up to brush her teeth.
Check out that space between her feet and the stool.
I absolutely love the friendships between my children. It brings me so much joy to see them together. Ila has been sleeping on the top bunk with Charlotte lately. I didn’t notice till I climbed the ladder, that they had another friend in there.
