Pictures from this week (April-May 2015)
Isaac has a school assignment to live like his grandparents did for a week. The assignment requires him not to use anything that didn’t exist back then. He has spent most of his free time this week playing board games and riding his bicycle.
We had one of those crazy mornings where Thomas had a tantrum just as the kids were going out to the bus and somehow Nicole managed to leave without her backpack. Zach was nice enough to take it to her on his motorcycle.
Ila has a new friend named Shannon. They spent two mornings together last week and have become fast friends.
They spent the whole morning creating elaborate scenarios for their ponies.
Meanwhile Thomas had both his best buddy Ian over and Shannon’s little brother, Sean.
They had a picnic lunch outside and they all sat on wiggle cars while they ate.
Thomas and Sean played super well together too.
As part of the assignment, Isaac was required to spend time doing yard work. I taught Isaac how to mow the lawn and he loved it. He wants to mow every week now. We’ll see how long that lasts.
I can’t resist sharing a few pictures from this view.
We surprised our neighbor with a BBQ and snow cone party to celebrate finishing her last final of the semester. Our party soon turned into a water party.
Thomas and Ila were inspired by Isaac finally learning to ride a bike and they both wanted to try it too.
Thomas loves it when Isaac lets him build with Legos with him.
I tried to capture this moment between Nicole and her father, but between the insufficient lighting and the quick movements, this was the best I could get.
Isaac, Charlotte, and Ila were out riding bicycles with some friends in the neighborhood. They all went to watch a movie together, but I had to make Isaac come home since watching a movie at their house is against his time swap rules. I felt bad doing it after he did so well on his chores today and was so helpful. I let him ride his bicycle past bedtime and gave him a treat to make up for missing the movie.
