Isaac’s 11th Birthday
Due to a variety of circumstances, we ended up celebrating Isaac’s birthday in parts over a few days. First we had cake on Monday so that both sets of grandparents could be there. Isaac wanted Baked Alaska for his birthday cake.
In keeping with Cochran tradition, everyone sang terribly.
Since we were all together, we surprised Isaac and let him open his presents early. His dad got him a gigantic bag of gummy worms. Isaac ate himself to a tummy ache that night and the next day but he also shared some with his siblings.
Isaac was very excited to give his Aunt Laresa a giant bag of popcorn for her birthday a few days earlier, but disappointed I wouldn’t let him buy himself one too so he was very pleased to get this one.
This snap circuit kit was his main gift from both of his parents. He really loves building and creating.
My parents had to leave on Isaac’s birthday, but we were able to go out for a birthday lunch before their flights.
While we waited for our food, we played with the distortion function on my phone. Isaac laughed at all the amusing pictures.
Isaac spent the rest of his birthday playing on the Wii U that his Uncle Bryan left here.
With my parents leaving that day, I decided it would be better to have Isaac’s party the day after his birthday. We scheduled a party at Nickel City. They had pizza and soda, played arcade games, and played a game of laser tag.
One of Isaac’s friends couldn’t make it, so Charlotte came in his spot. Isaac played games with his sister most of the time. I kept trying to coax him to go play a game with his friends, but he just wanted to play with Charlotte.
Laser tag was probably the favorite activity of the day. It was Isaac’s 2nd time playing l and Charlotte’s first time so they got killed a lot, but they had a blast.
I’ve had too many things going on to sit down and write much, so the yearly personality sketch is still coming.
