Moving Days 5-6: Ohio (part 1 of 2)

DAY 5:  Our first day in Ohio was mostly spent relaxing at my parents’ house.10.31.09 Nicole and Uncle Lee (1)   Lee stopped over as we were having some lunch and introduced us to his girlfriend, Jen.  We had a nice visit with Lee and Jen as we munched on french fries and BBQ chicken.  Nicole took to Lee right away.  She snuggled up to him as soon as he picked her up and enjoyed smiling at him and making faces.

Halloween

10.31.08 Isaac (1)-1 Yes, I know I’m behind, but better late then never right.  We had a busy day but it was fun.  I do have a picture of all three of my kids in their costumes, but I don’t think I look very good in it so I refuse to post it here.  We started the day at preschool group then we came home for lunch and naps.  Aunt Krista and baby Paul came over and joined us in a tour of Zach’s office (they always over decorate).  After collecting candy there we came home and changed then headed out to dinner at Tucanos with extended family.  When we finished eating all the meat we could, we came home and the kids changed into PJs and handed out candy before going to bed.

Cute kids get more Candy!!

Yesterday was Isaac’s first official Trick-or-Treat adventure.  I think he had a good time and he provided his mom and dad with a good stash of candy!

We got our first group of trick-or-treaters before we left and when Isaac saw them knock on the door, say trick-or-treat, and get candy.  He said ‘Isaac, me’ and pointed to himself in order to indicate that he’d like to say trick-or-treat and get candy.

In a non-scientific study based on taking Isaac trick-or-treating one time, I have determined that cute kids get more candy!  Several people remarked on how cute he was and gave him handfuls of candy instead of the requisite one piece.

At one of the last houses we went to, he noticed some big jack-o-lanterns and grabbed my leg.  I picked him up and he clung to me tightly and wouldn’t let me put him down.  The next house had jack-o-lanterns as well and he refused to go near the door.  From that point on we couldn’t go to any houses that had jack-o-lanterns at them.
